The video below summarizes the objectives to solve the environmental issues about conventional synthesis method of polyurethane. The waterborne NIPU epoxy hybrid coatings synthesis method was proposed and preliminary experimental results were provided.

Waterborne NIPU Epoxy Hybrid Coating  poster

This project proposed the synthesis method of waterborne NIPU epoxy hybrid coatings. Our charaterization results showed the NIPU coatings was successfully synthesized. The coating films showed excellent thermal stability and tunable glass transition temperatures.
